The End of Summer

Sep 14, 2015 Uncategorized 4 comments
Summer is officially over. The kids are back in school, the weather is cooling down, the summer frenzy is ending and the school one is beginning.

I planned so many times what I wanted to say on my “I’m back!!” blog post, but I’m not nearly as organized as I like to think I am. And whenever I tried to focus, the rush of it all filled my brain.

So the rush is what you get. Because so much happened this summer. SO MUCH! (and honestly, this is the abridged version):

Life Stuff:

Book Stuff:

This Summer has been such a learning curve. I won’t prattle on
just yet about all the things I learned, but hopefully in the future.

In the mean time, what awesome things did you do this
summer?

  1. Hi Janet – you have been doing lots … moving is a big thing! Congratulations on the book, but also the cinnamon twists, the kids making icecream and cleaning themselves in the lake! Then the jam .. and you've had time for some fun time with the kids – have a peaceful Autumn, once you've totally settled down … cheers Hilary

  2. Well, I read a really good ARC and blurbed it. 😉

The highlight of our summer was hosting a French teenage girl for 3 weeks. We took her to many of the local sights and touristy things we don't normally do ourselves. She was a lot of fun, and we miss her!

  4. Wow, sounds like you had a very eventful summer. Mine was filled with aging parent problems from both sides (so fun, let me tell you…) and dental problems. I'm glad to be in a new season!
