I know I’m a bit late to the party, but I ran across this Steve Jobs quote while waiting in a doctor’s office. This was from a commencement speech he gave. Anyway, I had to share:
“Remembering that I’ll be dead soon is the most important tool I’ve ever encountered to help me make the big choices in life.
“Almost everything—the external expectations, all pride, all fear of embarrassment or failure—these things just fall away in the face of death, leaving only what is truly important . . . There is no reason not to follow your heart.”
Definitely puts it in perspective. There is no reason not to follow your heart, people. Let’s do this thing!

If I could take the lessons I learned later in life and apply them to my youth, what more good I would have accomplished back then. It says a lot for mentoring.
I don't mean to come across as Mr Sourpuss but alot of the quotes I have heard from Jobs are a lot of New Age mumbo jumbo. Mind you, he didn't do too bad for himself.

I read the Steve Jobs quote right after he died, but it doesn't hurt to read again. I wish I could follow it more. I'm trying!

I first read that quote last week when he passed away, and it almost reduced me to tears. It really does put life in perspective.
to be honest i try to listen to both of them, and see what they can agree on haha, but when i have to choose, i always go with mah heart
